CONTRIBUTIONS are now accepted for The New Anthology of Poetry in the Bikol Languages. Contributions shall be unpublished poems exploring the theme "Bikolnón na agimadmád (Bikol consciousness)"—memories, experiences, realities, images, and other aspects of being a Bikolano. Contributions shall be in any of the Bikol languages, with corresponding translations in English. Editors however, shall have the discretion to edit translations. Each contributor may submit one to three entries; and a short bionote. The anthology will be edited by Kristian S. Cordero, Marne L. Kilates, and Victor Dennis T. Nierva.

SARIKAW AT IRAGO

Ang Sarikaw ay isang monolith na korteng tao na may kasamang aso. Tinatayang sampung talampakan ang laki nito. Hindi ko ito nagawang puntahan nang umuwi ako sa Iriga. Dalawang araw lang kasi akong namalagi roon at nawalan na ng panahon para puntahan ito dahil hindi naging sapat ang oras ko para kumustahin ang mga kamag-anak at ilang mga kaibigan. Isa ring dahilan ang pagbawal sa 'kin ng nanay ko na pumunta doon gawa ng mga naglipanang tulisan sa lugar na 'yun. . Sinasabing isang mangangaso ang Sarikaw na sinumpang maging bato ng isang wizard dahil sa hinamon niya ang kakahayan nito. Wala na akong ibang alam tungkol dito bukod sa ginawa pa naman itong tourist attraction sa Iriga. . Matagal na akong binibihag ng ideya ng Sarikaw, kung ano nga ba ang hitsura nito (dahil nakita ko lang ito sa litrato) at kung ano nga ba ang tunay na kuwento tungkol dito.
